The third Aberdeen Vegan Festival took place on Sunday at the Aberdeen Football Club at Pittodrie. There was a selection of stalls from food and sweet treats to cosmetics and charities as well as talks throughout the day. I was actually helping my Mum run her Blushberry Botanicals stall as it was her first time exhibiting at a Vegan Festival. We had a lot of fun chatting about veganism and sharing her products! I managed to nip away to explore the other offerings and taste some vegan goodies. Read on for a few of the highlights...

1. Almondine - Aberdeen's favourite patisserie now offers delicious vegan macarons. They are the prettiest colours and we couldn't resist a box of 7 with one of each flavour to take home. Mmmm...
2. Almighty Foods - based in Perthshire these guys make amazing chocolates and spreads. We thoroughly enjoyed the samples on Sunday! My favourites are the Strawberry Blonde chocolate and Hazelnut Fuj spread. Yum!
3. Foodstory - set up with their gorgeous greenery and chalkboards we were delighted to see them at the festival. You can read our review of their Sunday pancakes on our last visit here.
4. Cairn O' Mohr - fabulously fruity vegan wines, what's not to love?? A visit to Cairn O' Mohr is on our summer bucket list!
5. Herbivore Kitchen - Edinburgh based business with insanely good brownies. We opted for the Biscoff brownie and it was SO GOOD. Gooey and chocolatey and just all round yum.
6. Faceplant Foods - from the moment the doors opened there was a growing queue. Once you've tried the food you'll realise why, it's more than worth the wait! We had nachos and mac n cheeze for lunch. The macaroni was perfect, lovely 'bacon' bits and oh so creamy. They sold out early on so if you're visiting them at a festival it's worth stopping by them first.
7. Yogi Tree - gorgeous colours and fabrics, this stall had a selection of beautiful ethically sourced and recycled yoga clothing.
8. Viva La Vegan - fun and quirky vegan merchandise from pins and patches to t-shirts. My husband had his eye on the 'humane being' t-shirt so I'll have to keep that in mind for future gifting!

Next up we're visiting the Glasgow Vegan Festival on Saturday. So excited!
